Women in Tech – Poem

Posted on October 22, 2020

Today we hosted a #WomaninTech session. Isidora brought a beautiful poem that we would love to share with the world. Thanks for the inspiring words Isidora.

All right, I hope everyone will enjoy quietly
As we will kick off this event with some poetry

So here we go, welcome everyone MC2MC is back!
This time with the October edition of Women in Tech

Let’s say Hi to the team behind this stream
A smart group of Belgian guys, is here to be seen

Thank you for hosting and organizing this event
I love women in tech initiatives, and we definitely need them much more frequent

The mission of MC2MC is sharing content with the IT crowd
Focused on Client Management and the Microsoft Cloud

So if in the future you want to deliver a topic, make sure you submit
Sharing your knowledge with the community, to many is a great benefit

Also make sure you follow MC2MC on their social channels
For ongoing content, sessions, discussions, and panels

Today we have something special, so let’s have a toast
We are going to select two prize winners, with the best social media post

Share a selfie, or a picture of your set-up watching the virtual conference
We’d love to see you, and your happy learning smiles with confidence!

Don’t forget to tag @MC2MC
Because your social media posts we want to see

The two best photos each win a 20 euros gift card
So you can go online shopping, and fill your digital cart

Make sure you check out what’s coming up next
At the end of November, a Security Night, for sure a hot subject

Just before we start, I want to make one ongoing battle clear,
The Swiss have better chocolate than Belgians, but fine the Belgians win when it comes to beer 😉

Let’s quickly learn some Wiki facts about the country of the conference host
Belgium, bordered by the Netherlands, Germany, Luxembourg, France, and a piece of the North Sea coast

Brussels, in the capital city you might not believe this,
But they have a bronze fountain sculpture called “Manneken Pis”

The country is famous for its beer, chocolate, Belgian Waffles and “Vlaamse Friet”
Delicious fries, which you can get at many places sold on the street

Antwerp is the world’s diamond capital, plus another fun fact
Belgian men are the second tallest in the world, on average 181.7 to be exact

And for now, let’s have a look at the schedule for tonight
There are a few ladies I would like to highlight

To kick-off this Women in Tech event, I’m really happy with the opportunity to start
And that I can introduce the following fantastic ladies, who are amazingly smart

Coming up first, it really is my pleasure
To announce Sjoukje Zaal, who will present “Securing Serverless Applications in Azure”

After that we continue with Sandy Zeng, at 7:30 to be precise
With the session “Work anywhere, Microsoft Tunnel for mobile device”

Then we’ll be having a 15 minutes break,
So you can get a drink and rest your mind, from all the learnings and content you intake

Be back on time, make sure you aren’t late
For Sarah Lean’s session “Start your datacenter transformation journey with Azure Migrate”

Selecting which sessions to join tonight, is like picking sweets in a candy shop

Learn from Maggie Dakeva about “Enabling work from anywhere with MEM and Windows Virtual Desktop”

Then last but definitely not least,
At the end, we are in for a little feast

Stick around for the social Bring Your Own Wine
Hang out with us, talk, or in the chat field just drop a line

A couple more house rules which are good for you to know
Then you can enjoy learning and we’ll start the show

If you would like to ask something, feel free to raise a question
The speakers will be available for Q&A at the end of each session

We also kindly ask you to fill out the evaluation forms
The organization of MC2MC would like to learn how their event organization performs

Constructive feedback will only make the upcoming events better
We just need your brief feedback, no worries you won’t need to write an entire letter!

So let’s get going, we have lots of great content to share
Presented by our Women in Tech speakers from around the world somewhere

And now, sit back, relax, enjoy and have fun!
WE as a community together we are ONE <3

Lastly, I would like to wish for you and your loved ones to remain healthy and safe
In this pandemic, have courage, faith, stay strong, happy, optimistic, and brave!

The End.
